How to add an image to a folder.

UNDER-CONSTRUCTION

  1. Add image

In the folder you wish to add an image in (I usually create a folder called images to put them in) select Image from the Add new image menu.

  2. Name the image

Enter a short name for the image. Short names should be lower case and one word. I often skip the titles for images since I usually will only be linking to images not displaying them as an item with a title.

  3. Select the image from your computer

Click the Choose File button and your computer will display a file browser to select a file from the computer you are on. Browse to the image to upload and choose it. You should try to use a tool to minimize the size of your images before uploading them. Small page images should be below 50k. The WBL image below is only about 1k. The school image to the left is about 8k. The image right here is about 30k. The larger the size the longer it will take to load when people view it.

    Select image

  4. Save the image

The file name of your selected image appears on the page. Now you can save it.

    Selected image

  5. View the image

You will now see the image as an item and the image will be displayed.

    View image

  6. View the contents of your images folder

Click contents to see the contents of your folder. Now your folder has the image as an item.
