Benefits

The primary benefit is that the tool allows users with granted priviledges to enter content into the Web site with ease and without using HTML.

• The site is live!

The site is interactive. Public can browse areas that do not require a login. Members (users who have logged in) can enter and edit content. All content is controlled and displayed on the site. The tool is the site!

• Content is easy to enter

You can enter content that looks good without being a webmaster. This means that you can delegate or increase participation for keeping the website content up-to-date. The webmaster and more sophisticated tools do not limit or slow down the process of getting content into the site.

• You can still use HTML

Of course you can still enter HTML that you may have created with a tool such as Dreamweaver.

Hey this is a live site. I edit a bit, save and then come back later. If I didn't want people to see work in progress, I can make the document private, or edit it in a private folder. To let people see it, I can either move the document to a publicly accessable folder or I can publish the document in a private folder and provide a link in another location to it.
